Our Team
Dr. Sarah Parmenter
Dr. Sarah Parmenter received her Honors Bachelor of Science (Human Kinetics) degree from the University of Ottawa in 1997. Her passion for natural health care and desire to teach people to lead healthier lives prompted her to continue her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
While at Palmer College, Dr. Sarah suffered a back injury which caused her many months of pain, not to mention countless sleepless nights. Her interests in pursuing a solution to her own back pain lead her to investigate low force techniques that offer lasting relief. She utilizes Sacrooccipital Technique (SOT), Activator Methods, Thompson Technique and some aspects of Applied Kinesiology as her primary adjusting methods. She has recently studied Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) in the interest of treating her own lifelong allergies and is thrilled to be experiencing tremendous success and relief.
Dr. Sarah enjoys caring for people of all ages, from infants to grandparents. Her gentle and compassionate approach to spinal care is much appreciated by her patients. The most rewarding part of her job is watching her patient’s transition into happier, healthier, more vibrant individuals as their pain is reduced and their health and vitality potential expands.
Dr. Sarah grew up in Nova Scotia but has called Ottawa home for the past 24 years. She loves Ottawa for its museums, galleries, and beautiful outdoor places for walks, picnics and scenic bike tours.
Dr. Dan Ricetto
Dr. Dan Ricetto began his undergraduate training at Laurentian University, receiving an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued his studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, graduating Summa Cum Laude with the distinction of Presidential Scholar.
While at Palmer College, Dr. Dan studied numerous adjusting techniques and spent many weekends traveling to additional chiropractic and health related seminars. In his practice Dr. Dan primarily uses low force adjusting techniques, particularly Activator Methods and Thompson Technique along with Active Release Techniques (ART) to address soft tissue injuries.
When away from his practice, Dr. Dan enjoys playing soccer, volleyball, cycling and maintaining an active lifestyle. Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Dr. Dan spent most of his years in Barrie but is now happily calling Ottawa home. He appreciates Ottawa for the abundance of opportunities for physical activity available year round. He is a member of the Ottawa Sport and Social Club (OSSC) and has enjoyed meeting many great people through this active network.
Dr. Dan’s purpose in practice is to share his knowledge with others so that they may have the opportunity to experience the incredible changes that chiropractic care and adopting a healthy lifestyle have brought to his life.

Jen Trembay - Shiatsu Therapy
Shiatsu therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses finger pressure along the various meridians of the body. This is done to improve organ function and restore balance. Shiatsu treatments have a stabilizing effect on the autonomic nervous system. Literally translated, Shiatsu is a Japanese word for finger pressure.
Before beginning treatment the therapist will go through a complete health history to determine what will be the best course of care for each person.
This treatment is done on a mat on the floor and the therapist uses their fingers thumbs and palms to apply consistent pressure along the meridian being treated.
Shiatsu is done fully clothed. During regular massage therapy the client disrobes and is covered with sheets. In shiatsu therapy the person remains clothed for the entire treatment, so the clients are encouraged to wear loose fitting clothing so the therapist can easily contact the different meridian points.
